I’m Katie and I am a 3rd Generation Comprehensively trained Pilates teacher based in Edinburgh. I teach both Mat Pilates and on the Pilates Apparatus.  I aim to deliver dynamic and varied classes with a sense of flow, that support and challenge you - wherever you might be in your Pilates journey.

One of the aspects of Pilates that’s such a joy is that there always something new to discover, another level to go to. So whether you’re a beginner, or you’ve been practising Pilates for years, you can always find progress. You start from where you’re at, and you just build from there.

As a method, Pilates has a huge amount to offer. It is well recognised as, among other things, an excellent way to build ‘core’ strength and create more efficient movement. But not all the benefits are purely physical. It allows you a space in your day and in your head while you are focussing solely on your movement, it fosters respect for your body and its’ abilities, and through bringing strength and control to your movements, creates a sense of self-empowerment.

As well as finishing each class with a feeling of time spent purposefully, my hope is that you also leave with a sense of connectedness, strength and renewed energy.

Movement should be approached like life - with enthusiasm, joy & gratitude - for movement is life,

and life is movement, and we get out of it

what we put into it.
